DETROIT — (AP) — Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 20 of his 29 points in the first quarter, returning to the lineup after a five-game absence to lead the Milwaukee Bucks in a 150-130 win over the Detroit Pistons on Monday night. “It was great to see everyone playing together with no real chemistry issues," said Bucks center Brook Lopez, who scored 21 points. Milwaukee scored 49 points in the first quarter, two shy of the NBA record, and led Detroit by 25 after Antetokounmpo made all six of his shots in eight-plus minutes. NBA suspends Pistons' Killian Hayes 3 games, Magic's Moe Wagner 2 games after brawl
The NBA suspended 11 players after Wednesday night's brawl during the Detroit Pistons' 121-101 win over the Orlando magic. Pistons guard Killian Hayes received a three-game suspension, and Magic forward Moe Wagner received a two-game suspension. As they neared the Pistons bench, Wagner hit Hayes with a hip-check that sent him falling to the floor — which prompted a quick response from Hayes, who jumped right back up and punched Wagner in the back of the head. That blow sent Wagner falling down into the Pistons bench hard, and prompted a much larger altercation to break out behind him. Detroit guard Cade Cunningham is planning to have season-ending surgery to repair his left shin, a person with knowledge of the situation said Monday. ESPN first reported that Cunningham would be having the season-ending procedure. Cunningham was on the floor in Miami before a game last week doing some shooting, which prompted some speculation that he may be coming back. Cunningham hasn’t played since Nov. 9 while dealing with the shin issue, which has been treated as a stress fracture. 76ers-Thunder called off as virus concerns still trouble NBA

The 76ers played in Memphis on Saturday night, losing 106-104 in a game where Valanciunas played 20 minutes. He was pulled at halftime of Memphis’ game against Brooklyn on Jan. 8 because of some sort of virus-related issue, but was back on the court for the Grizzlies’ next game Jan. 11 against Cleveland. Minnesota, which had a game Friday called off after Karl-Anthony Towns revealed he tested positive, is scheduled to play Monday in Atlanta. Cleveland’s game in Washington on Sunday also was called off, as was the planned rematch between the clubs on Monday.
