Jill Biden teams up with NFL great to push vaccinations
First lady Jill Biden looks on at right. Nationwide, 66% of adults have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. “It's just not enough, which is why I wanted to come here today," Jill Biden said, stressing that the vaccines in use are safe, effective and free. The Dallas clinic is open to students 12 years and older, school staff, parents and anyone from the broader Dallas community. Jets' Gore out with bruised lung, playing future uncertain
The 37-year-old New York Jets running back has a bruised lung that coach Adam Gase said Monday will keep Gore out of the season finale at New England on Sunday. It was originally called a chest injury by the team after Gore left, but tests revealed the lung contusion. Gore has played in 240 games, a record for NFL running backs, over 16 seasons. Gore signed a one-year deal worth $1.05 million with the Jets last May and will be a free agent in the offseason. With Gore sidelined for the finale, the Jets will use La'Mical Perine, Ty Johnson and Josh Adams against the Patriots.
Rams' Goff dislocates thumb, Jets' Gore has chest injury

After a 23-16 loss to the New York Jets on Sunday, the Browns will need to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers next Sunday if they're going to end the NFL's longest playoff drought. The call was upheld by video review, and the Jets (2-13) sealed their second straight victory after an 0-13 start. Mayfield then marched the Browns downfield, and Nick Chubb's 1-yard run made it 20-10 with 2:56 left in the third quarter.
Stafford, Swift, Lions protect big lead, pound Jaguars 34-16
This was a victory the Detroit Lions probably needed more than they would admit. Detroit (2-3) made this one look easy, somewhat surprising considering the Lions had lost six straight in which they led by double digits. SOCIAL INJUSTICEAs they’ve done all season, players from Detroit and Jacksonville remained in their locker rooms for the national anthem. The Lions had 30 players lined up along the goal line for the anthem, with seven of them — including Stafford — taking a knee. Trask, Pitts help No. 3 Florida top South Carolina 38-24
3 Florida to a 38-24 victory over South Carolina on Saturday.
