Fantasy Football Booms and Busts, Week 12: Mike White smashes in 2022 debut
The New York Jets have built one of the most interesting young rosters in the NFL. All that’s been missing with the 2022 Jets is a quarterback — which is a little like saying a steakhouse is wonderful except for their lousy steaks. White started in place of Zach Wilson on Sunday against Chicago, and White’s 2022 debut was gorgeous. White did a nice job with play-action, stuck a few tight-window throws, and didn’t miss when his receivers had separation. The Jets added White in 2019 and subsequently waived him several times, shuffling him between the practice squad and the active roster.wftv.com
Garrett Wilson on Jets' poor offensive showing: 'This s---- is not ok'
But Jets wideout Garrett Wilson couldn't find any positivity after New York put up just 103 total yards on offense. "This s— is not ok. Straight up, it is not ok," Wilson said the loss. Jets quarterback Zach Wilson was equally inefficient and as he was inept in the loss. Wilson's day would have been even worse if the Patriots hadn't dropped two near-interceptions that the Jets quarterback handed to New England defensive backs on a silver platter. Wilson (the receiver) didn't call out his quarterback by name, but he also noted that the Jets need to rely on their receivers more.wftv.com
Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups: Week 9 priority adds ahead of a messy bye week
We have a six-team bye week on our hands, an absolute fantasy football nightmare. He entered the week with an aDOT of just 5.8 yards, so it's not as if he's seeing high-yield downfield chances. Moore is clearly an explosive talent — he averaged 108.2 scrimmage yards per game at Purdue — and he's now seeing 6-8 targets per game. This week, L.A. gets an exceedingly friendly matchup with Atlanta's defense, a group that's allowed the most fantasy points to opposing wideouts. The Ravens then head to a much-needed Week 10 bye, so Drake is simply a short term patch for your running back problems.wftv.com
Week 3 Fantasy Football Stats Notebook: Should you buy the Garrett Wilson breakout?
The following players have five end-zone targets on their resume this season: Davante Adams, Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase and Garrett Wilson. I keep saying he's like Kadarius Toney in the open field except he's actually a technician at the position. Both Wilson and Moore just really need Zach Wilson to be good when he comes back. And if you can’t tell Bateman is verifiably good at football … I don’t know what to tell you. If Samuel is going to hit in fantasy this season he will need to get more downfield work.wftv.com

Fan arrested for allegedly throwing bottle at Browns owner
BEREA, Ohio — (AP) — A fan was arrested for allegedly throwing a plastic water bottle and hitting Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam during the closing moments of Sunday's 31-30 home loss to the New York Jets. Cleveland police said Tuesday that Jeffrey Miller, 51, of Rocky River, was charged with assault, disorderly conduct and failure to comply. Miller was spotted by stadium video surveillance throwing the bottle and was followed with cameras. Once he was detained, Miller told police “it never hit the field” as he was being taken to a holding room inside the stadium. The Browns intend to ban Miller from the stadium, a person familiar with the team's decision told The Associated Press.wftv.com
The Jamal Adams trade is finally paying off for the Jets
After 26 games, the New York Jets are finally starting to see tangible results from the Jamal Adams trade. Let's quickly recap the move: The Jets received a 2021 first-round pick, a 2021 third-round pick, a 2022 first-round pick and safety Bradley McDougald, while the Seahawks received Adams and a 2022 fourth-round pick. And following this past year's draft, the Jets ended up with two starters: guard Alijah Vera-Tucker and Wilson (the Jets used that 2021 third-rounder to trade up to No. The Seahawks, meanwhile, have Adams and drafted rookie cornerback Coby Bryant with the Jets' selection (who was coincidentally the college teammate of the Jets' 2022 No. He did that with Vera-Tucker and Wilson, but only now are the Jets finally seeing the results of that move.wftv.com
Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, Week 3: Rookie wide receivers lead priority pickups
Below you'll find a collection of approved pickups, all of them unattached in at least 50 percent of Yahoo leagues. Let's begin with a pair of rookie receivers who blew up in Week 2. Wide receivers on the wireJahan Dotson, Washington Commanders (42%)It's only been two games, sure, but Dotson has looked like nothing less than an uncoverable star. One week after his two-touchdown regular season debut against Jacksonville, he gave us another TD and a two-point conversion at Detroit. Next week, he's facing a damaged Baltimore secondary that just allowed six passing scores to the Dolphins.wftv.com
Fantasy Football Week 2 Care/Don't Care: Why you should throw any Aaron Jones worry out the window
He also handled 44% of the team air yards along with five red-zone targets, three of which came in the end zone. Amon-Ra St. Brown might be a WR1What’s stopping him from being ranked as a top-12 receiver going forward? The duo handled 88 percent of the air yards and 64 percent of the team targets combined. He’s a good player but he’s going to drop down the rest-of-season rankings. Through two weeks, Kirk has a 27% target share and has inhaled 30.7% of the Jaguars' air yards.wftv.com
Fantasy Football: Early waiver wire pickups for Week 3
It's never too early to look toward your next matchup and a chance to bolster your fantasy football lineups. Here are three options to consider on the waiver wire ahead of Week 3. Raheem Mostert, RB, Miami Dolphins (43% rostered)Much was made about the Dolphins' backfield this past fantasy draft season. Rookie receiver Jahan Dotson delivered again, collecting four catches for 59 yards and a touchdown — his third of the year. It might be too early to say such a thing, but Wentz might just be good enough to keep three receivers — Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel and Dotson — fantasy relevant.wftv.com

CLEVELAND — (AP) — The New York Jets were less than two minutes away from another loss. Top of NFL draft could lack skill position players
If Stintley cracks the top 10, LSU will join Texas and Ohio State as the only colleges with five top 10 defensive backs in the common draft era. The only other times in the common draft era starting in 1967 that a skill position player didn't go in the top five were 1997 (Ike Hilliard, seventh), 1991 (Herman Moore, 10th), 1988 (Tim Brown, sixth), 1985 (Al Toon, 10th) and 1968 (Larry Csonka, eighth). That was one of 11 times in the common draft era that no QB went in the top 10. That would mark the 12th time a defensive end was taken first in the common draft era starting in 1967, second only to the 26 quarterbacks.
