After it won best ensemble at last month's Screen Actors Guild Awards it began to appear "CODA" could get real consideration for best picture. The top PGA award winner has gone on to win the top Oscar in three of the past four years and 10 of the past 13. “Summer of Soul” won the PGA’s documentary film category and “Encanto” won the award for animated movies.

NEW YORK — (AP) — Martin Scorsese's alma mater, New York University, is establishing a film institute in his name after a gift from George Lucas and Mellody Hobson. The formation of the Martin Scorsese Institute of Global Cinematic Arts was to be announced Tuesday by NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. The institute will include a virtual production center, the Martin Scorsese Department of Cinema Studies and support for student scholarships — with tuition assistance for those selected as "Scorsese scholars." They would have been so proud.”Scorsese has a long history with NYU's film program. The Scorsese institute is expected to launch next year, with the production center to follow at a later date.

However, Disney may ultimately opt to ignore the various timelines presented within specific aspects of the lands. When Disney announced the two Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge lands set for both their California and Florida parks at the 2015 D23 Expo, it was clear the project was in response to Universal’s two highly popular Harry Potter lands. The Millennium Falcon and Chewbacca were there, but otherwise, this was a land filled with lesser-known and newer Star Wars characters and references. The backstory of the land will be abandoned in an effort to allow more Star Wars characters to be added.

Ullman, who is retiring, has been on Starbucks' board since 2003 and served as chairman since 2018. Hobson, who is also the co-CEO of Ariel Investments, has been on Starbucks' board for 15 years. Starbucks is traded on the Nasdaq, but it has long exceeded the guidelines that the exchange is proposing.

Prowse donned Darth Vader's black armor and helmet for “Star Wars” (1977), “The Empire Strikes Back” (1980) and “Return of the Jedi" (1983). He was a regular at “Star Wars” fan events but was banned from official conventions by Lucas in 2010 after the pair fell out.
