Corbin ends Nats' starting pitcher wins drought, beats Reds
WASHINGTON โ (AP) โ Major league losses leader Patrick Corbin ended Washingtonโs record 43-game drought without a starting pitcher earning a victory as the Nationals beat the Cincinnati Reds 3-2 Sunday. Corbin (5-17) allowed one earned and four hits in six innings while striking out five. Corbin has lowered his ERA from 7.02 to 6.56 in three starts since the Nationals skipped his turn in the rotation earlier this month. Nationals: Gray is scheduled to return to the rotation during Washingtonโs series at the New York Mets next weekend. Nationals: Washington is off Monday before continuing its homestand Tuesday against Oakland.

Corey Dickerson hit a three-run homer off a fading Hendricks in the seventh inning, and Miami beat the Chicago Cubs 5-1 on Wednesday in Game 1 of their NL wild-card series. The Marlins, who rallied past the Cubs in a memorable NLCS that year, have never lost a playoff series. Yu Darvish starts for the Central champion Cubs, and rookie right-hander Sixto Sรกnchez get the ball for upstart Miami. โItโs going to be great.โDarvish is making his first playoff appearance since signing with Chicago before the 2018 season.
Blackmon raises batting average to .500, Rockies top Arizona

Blackmon doubled off Kevin Ginkel (0-1) during the Rockies' big inning that made it 8-2. Gallen went seven innings and allowed two runs on seven hits, with seven strikeout and no walks. Kyle Freeland went seven innings for Colorado and allowed two runs on seven hits. UP NEXT Arizona RHP Luke Weaver (0-3, 12.19 ERA) returns to the mound seeking his first win of the season.
Bellinger sits, Dodgers still roll to 11-2 win over D-backs
Pollock and Edwin Ros added two-run shots and the Los Angeles Dodgers rolled to an 11-2 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday night. The Dodgers broke the game open with a five-run fifth when the first six batters reached base on Weaver and reliever Yoan Lpez. Justin Turner hit a two-run triple and Pollock added a two-run homer as Los Angeles pushed its lead to 8-2.
