INTERNATIONAL DARK SKY WEEK

International Dark Sky Week aims to bring attention to the movement to bring better lighting to communities around the world.

Astrophotographer Miguel Claro took the image from So Miguel Island in the Azores on April 5, 2014. Celebrate International Dark Sky Week from anywhere, with sessions streaming online starting Sunday (April 19). The International Dark-Sky Association (IDA)'s annual event will be held between April 19 and 26. "It's a perfect time to reconnect with the night sky and International Dark-Sky Week provides a portal for that experience."
