Rams' Cooper Kupp joins calls for grass fields after injuries at SoFi Stadium

There were several high-profile injuries during the Seahawks’ game against the Chargers on Sunday at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Chargers receiver Mike Williams rolled his ankle when his cleats were down in the turf, too, and is now out for several weeks. Those are far from the only injuries to happen on turf around the league, or even at SoFi Stadium. Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs joined Carroll this week, and even called out SoFi Stadium's turf specifically. Kupp, however, wouldn’t say if he felt that SoFi Stadium’s turf — where he’s played for years now — was better or worse than others.

Falling 37-23 to the Seattle Seahawks, the team now approaches a bye without cornerback J.C. Jackson and wide receiver Mike Williams, who were both injured in the losing effort. After head coach Brandon Staley addressed the media Monday, we now know that the injury was a season-ending dislocated knee cap. Chargers CB J.C. Jackson, signed for $82.5 million, says he feels 'defeated' after 'Monday Night Football' benching

You never want to label a free agent signing a bust after only six games, but Los Angeles Chargers cornerback J.C. Jackson isn't giving fans many reasons for hope. The Chargers signed Jackson, a Pro Bowler last year with the New England Patriots, to a five-year, $82.5 million deal last offseason. So far, the move has not gone as planned, and the situation hit its nadir during "Monday Night Football." Two days later, he was still facing the sting of what must have been a difficult, per NFL.com:"I feel defeated," Jackson said. The Chargers are obviously not giving up on Jackson, though.
