The team took one step to rectify that situation Wednesday, reportedly agreeing to a deal with Jacoby Brissett, according to Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post. It's unclear how the Commanders view Brissett heading into the 2023 NFL season. Howell threw a touchdown and an interception in the contest. Prior to signing Brissett, the Commanders indicated Howell will be their starting quarterback in 2023.

Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was carted off the sideline during the first quarter of Sunday’s game against Buffalo with a rib injury.

Tua Tagovailoa threw a go-ahead touchdown pass to Jaylen Waddle in the third quarter and Xavien Howard recovered a fumble in the fourth to help the Miami Dolphins hold on for a 17-16 win over the New England Patriots.
