NFC Championship Game: Eagles roll past 49ers 31-7
PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Eagles used a bruising ground game and a gambling coach to punch a ticket to Super Bowl LVII, defeating the San Francisco 49ers 31-7 to win Sunday’s NFC Championship Game. The winners of the championship games will face off on Feb. 12 in the Super Bowl at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. It will be the fourth time in franchise history that the Eagles (16-3) have reached the Super Bowl. That ended a three-game losing streak in the Super Bowl for Philadelphia, which fell in Super Bowls XV, XXXIX and LII. The 49ers’ quarterback situation was so desperate due to injuries that even McCaffrey stepped under center.

Now this was truly a wild inning. All nine hitters in the Biloxi lineup drew walks in the inning, leading the Milwaukee Brewers affiliate to a 14-6 win at Regions Field in Birmingham, Alabama. Jake Elliott, Birmingham’s fourth pitcher of the inning, came in and threw one pitch, getting a flyball for the final out. He went 22-7 in 1983 and boosted the White Sox into the AL Championship Series, albeit while leading the American League in walks. The major league record for walks in an inning is nine.

He had a 74-yard TD run against Pittsburgh and a 74-yard run against Baltimore.

Ravens hold on for 30-28 win over depleted Eagles

Still, the Ravens (5-1) needed to prevent a 2-point conversion with 1:55 remaining to secure the win. The Eagles cut it to 30-22 when Wentz avoided pressure and heaved an 18-yard TD pass to Travis Fulgham into triple coverage on fourth-and-9. Wentz scored a few plays later, but couldn’t get in the end zone to tie it on the conversion. Wentz ran for 5 yards on first down on the fourth drive, tried to knock over defenders and got stripped at the Eagles 28.
Goff tosses 3 TD passes to Higbee, Rams beat Eagles 37-19

Goff completed his first 13 passes, including a pair of TDs to Higbee, and the Rams jumped to a 21-3 lead minutes into the second quarter. After the Eagles (0-2) pulled within one score, Goff’s 28-yard TD pass to Higbee in the fourth iced it for Los Angeles (2-0). The Rams took a 7-0 lead on Goff’s 4-yard TD pass to Higbee after Miles Sanders’ fumble on the third play gave them the ball at the Eagles 41.
