Jonathan Quick is on the move again, back to the Pacific Division to solve the Vegas Golden Knights' latest goaltending quandary. Vegas acquired Quick from Columbus on Thursday, less than 36 hours after the Los Angeles Kings traded the two-time Stanley Cup-winning goaltender and 2014 playoff MVP to the Blue Jackets. Quick getting dealt again leaves Philadelphia winger James van Riemsdyk and Anaheim defenseman John Klingberg as the top players left to be traded before the 3 p.m. EST Friday deadline. Pastrnak's 3 goals lead Bruins past Flyers 7-3 at Lake Tahoe
The Bruins' high level of play matched the picturesque setting with the lake and snow-covered mountains in the background. Joel Farabee, Sean Couturier and James van Riemsdyk scored for the short-handed Flyers, who have six players on the COVID-19 list. The NHL Players' Association's executive board is voting on a 24-team playoff proposal as the return to play format, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. Even if the executive board votes to approve the format, it doesn't yet seal the deal for the NHL season resuming. But the format is a substantial piece of the return to play puzzle. "As long as everybody can agree and be happy with the decision that will be made, thats really all that matters.If the NHLPA's executive board and the league's board of governors approve the plan, the who of returning would be set.
