Fellow rock legends are paying tribute to Jeff Beck, the guitar virtuoso and musical innovator who died Tuesday.

A guitar virtuoso who pushed the boundaries of blues, jazz and rock ‘n’ roll, Jeff Beck has died.

As he explained in "Paul McCartney: The Lyrics," published in 2021, he wrote the song in part because the queen really didn't offer many public statements, beyond her annual Christmas address and the opening of Parliament. McCartney would meet the queen numerous times, as a Beatle and a solo performer, and even played the song for her.

She was everywhere and yet not really known.

The result is “Becoming Led Zeppelin,” one of the most eagerly anticipated documentaries at the Venice Film Festival, which made its premiere Saturday with Page on the red carpet. He said he went to such lengths because he wanted the film to essentially be a musical interspersed with interviews. Page said he particularly appreciated the focus on the music — the songs are played at full-length, not just snippets.

Jimmy Page, a small business owner in San Diego, is a bit more optimistic now than he was two months ago. The depth of the layoffs vary sharply from state to state. Second-highest is in Nevada, where one-quarter of the state's workers have been approved, followed by Oregon and Florida.
