NFL injury tracker Week 18: Lamar Jackson out again for Ravens with lingering knee injury

Joe Flacco to start for Jets vs. DolphinsThe New York Jets are reverting back to Joe Flacco.
wftv.comJets rule out Mike White vs. Dolphins, will start Joe Flacco over Zach Wilson
But the Dolphins will be facing a New York Jets team that is making yet another quarterback change, this one due to injury. If Miami wins and the Patriots lose to the New York Jets, the Dolphins are in the playoffs. If all three lose and the Jacksonville Jaguars lose on Saturday night, the Jaguars are the wild-card team. If the Patriots, Dolphins and Steelers lose and the Jaguars win, clinching the AFC South title, the Patriots get the No. The Jets will presumably still be playing hard with Flacco at quarterback, trying to end the Dolphins' season.
wftv.comJets move Wilson up to No. 2 QB, still expect White to start
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — (AP) — Zach Wilson is moving up on the New York Jets' quarterback depth chart this week. 3 to the backup behind current starter Mike White, who is dealing with a rib injury but is expected to make his fourth straight start Sunday against the Detroit Lions. He started the next seven and the Jets went 5-2 in those games, but his play was mostly shaky. Wilson had four touchdown passes and five interceptions and had a 55.6 completion percentage as New York's offense struggled to produce points. After Wilson went just 9 of 22 for 77 yards in a 10-3 loss at New England in Week 11, the Jets elevated White to starter.
wftv.comJets promote Zach Wilson to backup QB, push Joe Flacco to No. 3 as Mike White expected to start
Zach Wilson is back on the game day roster. New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh announced on Wednesday that Wilson, who had been the team's No. Veteran QB Joe Flacco, who had been the backup for the last few games, is being pushed down to No. Coach Saleh says Zach Wilson will be the No. He's been holding himself accountable with regards to how he wants to attack practice, how he's been performing in practice.
wftv.comJets QB situation remains a mess, but they're not going back to Zach Wilson
A bad New York Jets quarterback situation got worse on Sunday in a 20-12 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Barring bad news from the hospital, White will "for sure" start next week against the Detroit Lions, according to Saleh. Wilson was benched benched in Week 11 amid poor performance and a lack of confidence among his teammates. The Jets quarterback was sidelined twice by violent blows, with the second sending him to the New York locker room. The game result was frustratingly familiar for a Jets team that dropped of four games while averaging 12.3 points in the losses.

wftv.comJets quarterback Zach Wilson reportedly will not start against Bears in Week 11
The New York Jets have seen enough from quarterback Zach Wilson. Following Sunday's poor offensive performance, the Jets reportedly benched Wilson prior to the team's Week 12 game against the Chicago Bears, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Jets players were reportedly informed of the decision during a team meeting Wednesday. It's unclear who will start for New York against Chicago. The team could go with long-time NFL veteran Joe Flacco or second-year player Mike White.
wftv.comZach Wilson's disastrous effort provides reprieve for Patriots' own QB chaos
Thankfully for the New England Patriots, Zach Wilson and the New York Jets were considerably worse. Fresh off igniting a full-blown quarterback controversy, Bill Belichick's Patriots eked out a 22-17 upset of the New York Jets as Jones played quarterback without a peep from backup Bailey Zappe. The second-year Jets quarterback threw three interceptions on Sunday, including two unforced errors in the second half that subdued any hope of a New York comeback. He didn't find an open receiver and opted to throw the ball away as he faced pressure from the Patriots pass rush. His yardage total was inflated by a come-from-behind effort that saw the Jets abandon the run game in the second half.
wftv.comFantasy Football Week 4 Sleepers: Richie James, wide awake in New York
Perhaps you’ll add a player to your fantasy bench as depth, but won't deploy him this week. But Stevenson has a significant snap advantage over the last two weeks (62 percent, versus Harris' 39 percent), and last week Stevenson was the busier back, especially in the passing game (4-28-0). RB Jeff Wilson vs. RamsIf you wind up playing the single DFS slate for Monday, Wilson at $14 is impossible to look past. WR Alex Pierce vs. TitansThe Colts are desperate for a third pitch in their offense, and maybe the rookie Pierce is ready to fill that gap. Pittsburgh has been average when it comes to checking tight ends this year; even with the Jets likely to turn back to Zach Wilson, Conklin retains his Circle of Trust privileges.
wftv.comFantasy Football Week 4: Defense rankings
Let's get the obvious out of the way: Having to play a fantasy defense every week is hard. You might think in your head that you've made the right choice only to watch that defense get crushed. On that note, the Pittsburgh Steelers stop unit has one of the better matchups available in Week 4. So, while the Jets aren't the punching bag of yesteryear, a strong Pittsburgh Steelers D/ST — they rank fifth in fantasy scoring at the position this year — could have a big day against Gang Green. Perhaps you’ll add a player to your fantasy bench as depth, but don't deploy him this week. Joe Flacco, QB, Jets (vs. Bengals)We spent the summer telling you how wonderful Elijah Moore is. The Jets receiver room — Corey Davis isn't bad, either — can drag Flacco into fantasy relevance. That could be an accelerant to a possible Smith breakthrough year. Week 3 pits the Eagles against Carson Wentz — Washington's offense has fun pieces, but Wentz will make some mistakes every week, too.

What's up with Joe Burrow? The young star quarterback has amassed just 19.4 total fantasy points through two games this season, behind the likes of Joe Flacco, Jared Goff and Tua Tagovailoa. Maybe the Burrow explosion we're waiting for happens in Week 3, and all will be right with the world again. wftv.comFlacco rallies Jets to stunning 31-30 comeback over Browns
CLEVELAND — (AP) — The New York Jets were less than two minutes away from another loss. On third-and-10, Flacco — who had four TD passes one week after a rough opener — found a streaking Wilson over the middle for the winner. “Joe is 37 years old and he’s been in the league a long time," Jets coach Robert Saleh said. Flacco hit Corey Davis for a 66-yard TD with 1:22 left to pull the Jets (1-1) within six at 30-24. Flacco improved to 18-3 in his career against the Browns, the most wins for the 37-year-old QB against any team.
wftv.comNFL Winners and Losers: Tyreek Hill trade has revived Tua Tagovailoa and Dolphins
Give Tagovailoa credit, but also give the Dolphins front office credit for understanding how Hill would change their entire offense. The Dolphins got Hill, hired offensive guru Mike McDaniel as their new head coach and they look better than they have in a long time. LOSERSCarson Wentz: The thing about Wentz isn't that he's bad each week. It's that he's bad sometimes and you never know which Wentz will show up from week to week. This week, it was bad Wentz, at least in the first half.

wftv.comFantasy Football: Sit/Start tips for Week 2 of the NFL season
Fantasy managers should remain patient … Devin Duvernay scored two touchdowns last week but saw just four targets on 18 routes; he shouldn't be anywhere near fantasy starting lineups. Flaws remain, but Wentz is playing indoors this week against a Lions defense that allowed an NFL-high 7.6 YPA and 31 passing scores last season. Only one run defense was graded worse in DVOA than Washington's in Week 1, and D'Andre Swift has missed multiple practices with a sprained ankle. He was first in route run involvement rate, which resulted in a career-high five catches. If he continues to see this type of route involvement with Russell Wilson now his QB, a nice fantasy season will follow.

wftv.comJets QB Wilson out until at least Week 4, Flacco to start
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — (AP) — Joe Flacco will huddle up for the New York Jets against his former team. Flacco starting this week is not unexpected, as it appeared to be trending that way for a few weeks. Wilson will work with the training staff this week, Saleh said, and then slowly start resuming practice during the next few weeks. Taking the cautious approach in Week 1, New York will turn to Flacco — who will take on his former team. A hip injury midway through the 2018 season put Flacco on the sideline — and Lamar Jackson into the starting lineup.

Tom Brady has denied 27 QBs in unparalleled playoff success
Brady is shooting for his seventh ring when he leads the Buccaneers (14-5) against the reigning champion Chiefs (16-2) in Super Bowl 55 on Sunday. Brady's postseason record includes a 33-11 mark, 14 conference championship appearances and 10 trips to the Super Bowl. If the Bucs dethrone the champs, Mahomes would become the sixth quarterback Brady has beaten multiple times in the playoffs. Although he’s not showing his age, 43, Brady will be the oldest to play in a Super Bowl, displacing Colts kicker Matt Stover, who was 42 in Super Bowl 44. Unlike Warner, he wasn't going to get ahead of himself and talk about anything but the Super Bowl title in front of him.

Much like Jackson, Allen prefers putting the past behind him and focusing on the next challenge. “We’ve had our backs against the wall since the Pittsburgh game,” Harbaugh said. The Bills limited the Ravens to only 118 yards rushing in last year’s meeting, a 24-17 Ravens win.

Asked to explain his ascent to the top of the list of road wins for an NFL coach, Harbaugh came up empty.
