UCF basketball team visits Lorraine Motel before game against Memphis
MEMPHIS, Tenn. โ Ahead of Mondayโs away game against the Memphis Tigers, the University of Central Florida menโs basketball team was in for quite a visit. โItโs more than just basketball, and I think itโs important to know your history,โ head coach Johnny Dawkins said. โShow young people whatโs going on in history, try to broaden their horizons because itโs bigger than just basketball,โ Coach Dawkins said. When the team wasnโt learning about history, they were practicing for the games against the Tigers but also taking in the city. AdThe UCF Knights will face off the Memphis Tigers on Wednesday and will return to Orlando after the game.

11 Houston used a dominant first half to cruise to a 75-58 win over UCF on Sunday. Houston (11-1, 6-1 American Athletic Conference) won its fourth straight game since its loss to Tulsa. โIt was a great game for us,โ Houston guard DeJon Jarreau said. โThey made a lot of shots to start the first half off and kind of knocked us back,โ UCF coach Johnny Dawkins said. Sampson passed former Houston coach Tom Penders.
