Massive power outages in Cuba mean that many people are unaware that U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to impose tariffs on any country that sells or supplies oil to the Caribbean island.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum says that her government has suspended oil shipments to Cuba, but says the pause in shipments has been a “sovereign decision” and not the result of pressure by the United States.
