NFL: MAY 31 Jacksonville Jaguars OTA Offseason Workouts JACKSONVILLE, FL - MAY 31: Jacksonville Jaguars Kicker Andrew Mevis (12) during Jacksonville Jaguars OTA Offseason Workouts on May 31, 2022 at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Fl. Four days into his first training camp, Mevis was cut by the Jacksonville Jaguars after missing three field goals during the team's Thursday warm-ups, according to ESPN's Michael DiRocco. He made 40-61 field goals in college, including 20-23 in 2021, and made two extra points at the 2022 Senior Bowl. Now, if Urban Mayer had still been head coach, maybe he would have done more than just cut Mevis. It sounds like Josh Allen's "professional locker room" comments regarding the new Jaguars regime under head coach Doug Pederson are true, after all.

According to the lawsuit, Lambo says his performance suffered as a result of being kicked and verbally abused by Meyer. The Jaguars fired Meyer on Dec. 15, hours after the Tampa Bay Times reported Meyer had kicked Lambo during a practice months earlier. Since Lambo reported the kicking incident to the Jaguars’ legal counsel, his subsequent release violated Florida’s Private Sector Whistle Blower’s Act, the lawsuit says.
