Fantasy Football Exit Interview: Will messy QB season change market behavior?
In fantasy, quarterback is something you can solve fairly easily, the least of your worries. Not even half of these guys came through for fantasy purposes, using this admittedly simplistic measuring stick. And you probably could name your price on Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields, Daniel Jones or Jared Goff. Jalen Hurts — The Eagles were the Fantasy Offense of the Year, and Hurts was the perfect triggerman. But Smith wasn't great in the final quarter of the season, and the Seahawks might draft a quarterback anyway.

wftv.comBears' Fields to miss finale, ending shot at QB rushing mark
LAKE FOREST, Ill. — (AP) — Justin Fields won't get a chance to break the single-season rushing record for an NFL quarterback. Fields will miss the season finale against the Minnesota Vikings because of a strained hip and Nathan Peterman will start in his place, coach Matt Eberflus said Wednesday. Fields finishes his second season with 1,143 yards rushing, 63 shy of the record of 1,206 set by Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson in 2019 during his MVP season. An MRI confirmed the strain and the team's medical staff ruled him out for the game against NFC North champion Minnesota on Sunday. Eberflus insisted holding out Fields was a medical decision and not an attempt to boost the Bears' shot at the No.
wftv.comBears to sit Justin Fields, start Nathan Peterman in Week 18 with No. 2 overall draft pick on the line
Imaging revealed the strain, resulting in the team sitting Fields for the final game of the regular season. Seemingly every week, Fields pulled off a highlight-worthy run that extended a drive or saved a potential disaster. 2 draft pick on the lineThe Bears' draft pick likely also played a role in sitting Fields in Week 18. That might also explain why the Bears will turn to Peterman, and not Trevor Siemian, in Week 18. At 12-4, the Vikings already clinched a playoff spot and could also sit some of their starters in Week 18.

The fantasy season is largely (if not entirely) behind us, but let's take one final sweep of the league, six-pack style ...86.4 - First-year receiver Rashid Shaheed has been an absolute revelation, forcing his way into a significant late-season role for the Saints. 84.2 - At the conclusion of your fantasy season, Travis Kelce had outscored the No. 2 tight end by 84.2 fantasy points in Yahoo's default settings. wftv.comFantasy Football Sleepers, Week 17: Don't overlook these options when setting your lineup
The Fantasy Football Playoffs are not the ideal time to be rolling sleepers into your lineup, though the Giants passing game came through for us last week. Allgeier probably has a better floor, given that he’s at home and the Falcons are favored over the scuffling Cardinals. Justin Fields has made it to 200 yards just twice in 14 starts, and he was limited to 119 yards last week against Buffalo. [Week 17 Fantasy Rankings: QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | FLEX | DST | Kickers]WR Curtis Samuel vs. BrownsNormally we think of Samuel as the No. 3 passing option on a Washington offense that has a capped ceiling, but Samuel gains fantasy juice with Carson Wentz getting the start.
wftv.comFantasy Football Six-Pack: Justin Fields makes a run at history
Josh Jacobs is the only running back in the NFL averaging over 100 rushing yards per week for the season. Fields currently leads the league in yards per carry (7.0) and he's one of only seven players to have already reached 1,000 yards. Runs like this from Fields have simply become every-week occurrences:HOW did Justin Fields do this?! Many aspects of Miami's season have been delightful for fantasy purposes and we probably haven't spent enough time applauding Waddle's usage. The Falcons are running the ball 32.6 times per game, making them the third most run-heavy team in the league.

Matt and Scott really only talk about the NFC South teams because they have to. It’s that time of the year and they’re over watching bad teams, and the entire NFC South is bad. Diontae Johnson, on the other hand, should catch more passes but not go in the end zone…for history’s sake.

He and Christian McCaffrey are the only players in the league with 50+ catches and 700 rushing yards this season. Mac Jones somehow managed just 112 scoreless yards (3.6 YPA) indoors against a Raiders defense that entered allowing easily the highest Passer Rating. Zay Jones erupted for three scores and hauled in the longest TD pass of Lawrence's career, finishing as the top-scoring fantasy wideout in Week 15. wftv.comJustin Fields turns 2nd-and-27 sack into unreal run to set up touchdown
It was an electric play, the kind of which has made Fields that most dangerous running quarterback in football on a Bears team that leads the NFL in rushing. And he isn't just the game's most productive running quarterback. Per NFL's Next Gen Stats, Fields had a less-than 1% chance of gaining a first down on the play. On 2nd & 27, Justin Fields had less than a 1% chance of converting the first down when he took off to scramble on his 39-yard run. wftv.comNFL Winners and Losers: Lamar Jackson's contract year isn't going as well as hoped
After the game Ravens coach John Harbaugh told the media the prognosis was "days to weeks" for Jackson's injury, but it wasn't season-ending. Everything about this Ravens season has been framed around Jackson's contract situation. From Week 4 through last week Jackson had just seven touchdowns and five interceptions in eight games, for a passer rating of 80.8. The Ravens did a poor job finding receivers for Jackson, and Rashod Bateman's injury really decimated Baltimore's passing game. The passing game clicked Sunday.
