Emory Jones comes up big, No. 11 Gators rout Tennessee again
11 Florida to a 38-14 victory over Tennessee on Saturday night and extending nearly two decades of dominance in the series. Jones ran for 43 yards on Florida’s next drive and capped it with a 9-yard TD pass to Rick Wells. Jones completed 21 of 27 passes for 209 yards on the night and ran 15 times, with a long of 49 yards. He became Florida's first QB to top 200 yards passing and 100 yards rushing since Tim Tebow in 2009 against Florida State. Florida, Notre Dame schedule home-and-home series in 2031-32

Notre Dame will travel to Gainesville early the following year. The programs have met just once, with Notre Dame rallying to beat Florida in 39-28 in the 1992 Sugar Bowl. The Gators have home-and-home series scheduled with Texas, Utah, Cal, Colorado, Arizona State and North Carolina State. They also play in-state rivals Florida State annually and are slated to play Miami and USF.

UF defense gets reinforcements in time for Auburn game
Starting linebacker Ventrell Miller missed last weeks game against Towson after injuring his hamstring against Tennessee two weeks ago. Starting safety Donovan Stiner was suspended from the first half of the UT game after getting called for targeting in the second half against Kentucky. Those eight defensive players along with starting wide receiver Freddie Swain, who missed last Saturdays game with an unspecified injury are good to go for Saturdays game. UF coach Dan Mullen announced after Saturdays game that the five injured players who missed against Towson were returning this week. So with all those guys, though, we'll get them some reps this week leading into the game."dailycommercial.com
