An arbitrator has ordered The Washington Post to reinstate a Black opinion writer fired over social media posts about violent white men following last year’s killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

In a story published Oct. 2, 2025, about the firing of Washington Post columnist Karen Attiah, The Associated Press misidentified a journalism professor and the school where she teaches.
