Hargrave is the latest in a lineage of stuntmen who have gone from stepping in for actors to directing them. It's a fairly recent career pathway thanks largely to the success of Chad Stahelski ("John Wick") and David Leitch ("Atomic Blonde"). They've been leaders in the field since founding the action design company 87Eleven in 1997.
With Hollywood on hiatus, studios are bracing for fights with insurers over coronavirus losses
Coronavirus has shut down all Hollywood productions and delayed the release of all films in theaters. Allianz, which is one of the main insurers for entertainment companies, estimates that Hollywood studios paid $400 million in premiums last year to cover "unforeseeable events." Allianz says it is seeing a growing influx in claims recently as studios have been forced to shut down major productions. None of the insurance companies would comment on what percentage of claims they'll be covering. Nonetheless, the coverages incorporated into the film and TV industry's insurance policies can vary greatly.

Louis-Dreyfus and Ferrell are just a few of the stars who circulated in and out of the Dolby Theatre to rehearse Saturday, including Tom Hanks, Salma Hayek, Jane Fonda and Mahershala Ali. But the stars weren’t always confined to the stage, especially if they arrived a little early. Makeup artists Antonio Rael has been standing in for big stars for 34 years. Rael was talking about the stand-ins but that doesn’t mean some of the stars aren’t anxious as well.

CNN image(CNN) - Keanu Reeves has sparked rumors that he is in a relationship, after walking hand-in-hand down the red carpet with artist and philanthropist Alexandra Grant at an event in Los Angeles. "The Matrix" star, 55, has reportedly been friends with Grant, 46, since they met roughly a decade ago. The pair, who were seen holding hands at the LACMA Art + Film Gala on Saturday, have previously worked as business partners. They collaborated on the books "Ode to Happiness" and "Shadows" in 2011 and 2016 -- with illustrations by Grant and text by Reeves. A tweet showing images of Reeves posing with multiple women went viral earlier this year, with pictures showing his hands hovering either over women's arms or waists.
'The Matrix' reloads with Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss
Kevin Winter/Getty Images(CNN) - Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss will again reenter "The Matrix," starring in a third sequel to the 1999 science fiction film that's expected to begin production next year. The stars will be reunited with one of the original writer-directors, Lana Wachowski, who worked on the original movies with her sister, Lilly. "The Matrix" featured Reeves as Neo, a man who discovers that humanity is trapped inside a simulated reality known as the Matrix, and that he is the destined champion who can help liberate them. The film was a major hit, spawning the sequels "The Matrix Reloaded" and "The Matrix Revolutions," which were shot in tandem and both released in 2003, completing the original story. The new film will be released by Warner Bros., like CNN, a unit of WarnerMedia.
