Max Homa comes from 5 back to win Farmers Open by 2 strokes

Homa reeled in Sam Ryder, who was trying for a wire-to-wire win, and then held off Bradley and Collin Morikawa for his sixth PGA Tour win and fourth in his home state. Rahm shot a 74, his worst round of the week, and tied for seventh at 8 under with Jason Day (68), a two-time Farmers winner. Rahm got his first PGA Tour win here in 2017 and then won the U.S. Open in 2021 at the municipal course that overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Rahm won The American Express at PGA West last weekend and at the Sentry Tournament of Champions three weekends ago at Kapalua. After making an impressive run up the leaderboard on Friday to move into sole possession of second place, two shots behind Ryder, Rahm bogeyed No.

Keegan Bradley wins Zozo for first PGA Tour win in 4 years

INZAI CITY, Japan — (AP) — It was worth the trip to Japan for Keegan Bradley, who won the Zozo Championship on Sunday with a 2-under 68, one shot ahead Rickie Fowler and Andrew Putnam for his first PGA Tour win in just over four years. Bradley's last PGA Tour victory was in 2018 at the BMW Championship. This is his fifth Tour victory. Fowler also has not won on the Tour for 3 1/2 years, and Putnam is winless in four years. Bradley off to fast start in bid to make FedEx Cup finale

— (AP) — Keegan Bradley hasn't been to the FedEx Cup finale in four years, and he started the BMW Championship on Thursday like he was in a hurry to get back. He won the BMW Championship in 2018 some 20 miles away at Aronimink when he was No. 52 in the FedEx Cup, sending him to Atlanta. Will Zalatoris won his first PGA Tour title last week at an ideal time, moving to the top of the FedEx Cup standings. Three holes into the BMW Championship, he went bunker to rough to bunker and then three-putted for a double bogey.

Kim has earned enough Korn Ferry Tour points to assure the 23-year-old South Korean will have a PGA Tour card next season. The Constellation Furyk & Friends tournament made its PGA Tour Champions debut by raising $1.7 million for local charities.

Jones wins Honda Classic by 5 shots, earns spot in Masters

Jones won the Honda Classic by five shots Sunday, a final round of 2-under 68 good enough to finish the week at 12-under 268 at PGA National. J.B. Holmes was in the final group with Jones, three shots back to start the day, and his chances were gone very quickly. He ended up with a costly final-round 79 for Holmes; second place, where he started the day, paid Hagy $763,000 while the tied-for-46th finish paid Holmes $19,070. AdHe went on to make double bogey there, and when Jones birdied the par-5 third Holmes’ deficit had gone from three to eight shots in about 45 minutes. “You can't get a tougher golf course to win on than this one, in these conditions," Jones said.

Jones survives a challenging day, takes 3-shot lead at Honda

“I'm happy to go low with the ball flight and I'm probably a little more conservative when the wind is up," Jones said. That’s when his woes started, and what became a nine-shot turnaround between he and Jones began. Jones grabbed a share of the lead with a birdie at the par-4 14th. And when Wise made bogey at the par-3 15th, Jones was the outright leader again. “Just keep doing what I'm doing," Jones said.

Westwood has career-low at Bay Hill and takes 1-shot lead

He might not be able to contemplate driving a par 5 — that sideshow Saturday at Bay Hill belonged to Bryson DeChambeau. You've got to be top 50 in the world,” Westwood said. He grabbed the lead by holing a 30-foot eagle putt on the 16th hole (DeChambeau made birdie) and a 30-foot birdie putt on the closing hole (DeChambeau made par) to reach 11-under 205. Conners, who started the third round with a one-shot lead, could only manage a 71 on a cool, breezy day at Bay Hill with only a few drops of rain. Sunday was shaping up as another thriller at Bay Hill.

Sam Burns holds his own on a tough, windy day at Riviera

Burns went 31 consecutive holes with a bogey, a streak that ended on No. When the third round was halted by darkness, he made back-to-back bogeys that dropped him to 10-under par, two shots ahead of Matt Fitzpatrick. “Even the downwind holes weren’t that much easier because it was hard to stop it there on the green,” Burns said. “It’s a hard course with no wind,” Burns said. Fitzpatrick was at 3 under for the day through 17 holes, the low score of the round so far.

Schauffele recovers from COVID-19, optimistic about new year

Schauffele is among 16 players in the Tournament of Champions who didn't win last year. His girlfriend came down with COVID-19 in the middle of December, and a few days later, Schauffele tested positive and eventually had minor symptoms. Schauffele is among 16 players at Kapalua who failed to win an official event, though he did have the lowest 72-hole score at the Tour Championship. The winners-only field is including players who reached the Tour Championship because golf was shut down for three months due to the pandemic. Schauffele already has played four times in the new season, which began in September, and that includes two majors.

Mel Reid hopes to keep the party going at Women's PGA

Reid, a 33-year-old from England, is among the contenders to win the Women’s PGA Championship at Aronimink. This is where Gary Player won his first PGA Championship in 1962, by one shot over Bob Goalby. Reid is a six-time winner on the Ladies European Tour but she was more than overdue for an LPGA Tour title. Last year, Hannah Green used a steely performance down the stretch at Hazeltine to make the Women's PGA her first career victory. She hopes to use the lessons learned there to be able to secure a second straight major championship.

Garcia tied for lead going into final round in Mississippi

He was the first to post at 14-under 202, a lead that held until Garcia caught him, and J.T. He also is enjoying himself, even when putts that look like they're going in stay out. “We love to make every putt we look at — or not look at, in this case — but we know that's not going to happen,” Garcia said. Staked to a two-shot lead going into the weekend, he had three bogeys on the front nine before he hit a hybrid from 255 yards to 15 feet for an egle on the 11th hole. Not since that 2017 Masters has he had at least a share of the 54-hole lead on the PGA Tour.

Bradley leads by 2 shots going into weekend in Mississippi

18 during the second round of the Sanderson Farms Championship golf tournament in Jackson, Miss., Friday, Oct. 2, 2020. – Keegan Bradley likes the way he's putting. In his debut in the Sanderson Farms Championship, Bradley made three straight birdies on the back nine to take the lead and closed with another short birdie putt to take a two-shot lead over J.T. What a great day, and I'm bringing a lot to the weekend that I'm happy about.”It hasn't been much fun in the last year for Bradley, who won the PGA Championship as a rookie. Chappell shot 40 on the back nine and had to settle for a 72, leaving him five shots back.

Morikawa back from missed cut with strong debut at Muirfield

DUBLIN, Ohio Collin Morikawa didn't get rattled by his first missed cut as a pro or his first time playing Muirfield Village. It was a quiet day of work, typical for the PGA Tour with no spectators allowed in the return from the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown. For the first time in 63 years, the PGA Tour will have tournaments on the same course in consecutive weeks. The second week at Muirfield Village the Memorial was supposed to be the first with fans since the PGA Tour returned June 11. He used PGA Tour winner Marc Turnesa as a caddie for this week, which might be a short week.
