It marked Altuve's sixth career slam and third this season — and his third multi-homer game of 2021, the seventh of his career. San Francisco will have a new face in the lineup perhaps as soon as Saturday after acquiring slugger Kris Bryant from the Cubs before the trade deadline Friday. Graveman and Rafael Montero are going to the AL West-leading Astros with infielder Abraham Toro and reliever Joe Smith going back to Seattle. “We are always looking to improve all aspects of the roster,” Astros general manager James Click said. The 30-year-old right-hander, who had been out since May 23, was activated Friday before the Mariners opened a three-game series against the Indians.
