news.yahoo.comFantasy Baseball 2023: All-Underrated Team to consider in drafts
There's upside hidden at all points of fantasy baseball drafts, not just the first and second rounds. Their being underrated is a good thing for savvy fantasy managers, though — here's the All-Underrated team of 2023. 1B: Ryan Mountcastle, Baltimore OriolesSpeaking of expected numbers, Mountcastle was a Statcast darling in 2022; there's a lot of red on his page from last season. 2B: Andrés Giménez, Cleveland GuardiansThe Gimenez bandwagon isn't exactly on fire, but it has picked up speed this draft season. Javier was excellent all season and in the playoffs last season, and even his expected ERA and FIP were top-level.
wftv.comWisconsin Republican says Brewers stadium funding plan dead
Tony Evers and the Milwaukee Brewers to spend nearly $300 million in taxpayer money on improvements to the stadium where the team plays was likely dead in the GOP-controlled Legislature. Under the Evers plan, in exchange for the state spending $290 million on repairs, the Brewers' lease would be extended by 13 years, through 2043. However, publicly funding privately owned sports teams has been hotly debated across the country, including in Wisconsin, in recent decades. That tax was very controversial, with Republican state Sen. George Petak recalled from office in 1996 after he switched his vote from against the plan to being in favor of it. The Brewers played their first game at the stadium in 2001, and it was renamed American Family Field in 2021.

Corbin Burnes says relationship with Brewers is 'definitely hurt' after team blamed him for missing playoffs in hearing
Few moments crystallize the fact that Major League Baseball is a business for a player more than their first arbitration hearing, and Corbin Burnes and the Milwaukee Brewers just demonstrated why. The team supports the player from his drafting to his MLB debut so he can get to the majors and win ballgames. That's why Brewers fans might have been a little worried when their team took Burnes, the 2021 NL Cy Young winner, to a hearing rather than settle. If this really does hurt Burnes' relationship with the team permanently, it's hard to see it manifesting on the field, but it could be a factor in future attempts to keep him in Milwaukee long-term. Then again, with the money the 28-year-old Burnes is likely to command when he hits free agency in 2025, maybe the team is already aware a good relationship won't help them much.
wftv.comEvers wants to give Brewers nearly $300M to repair stadium
Tony Evers wants to hand the Milwaukee Brewers nearly $300 million from Wisconsin's budget surplus to enact repairs and renovations at American Family Field. The governor's office announced Tuesday that his executive budget will include $290 million from the surplus for stadium repairs. The money for the stadium repairs would be a one-time cash payment from the state surplus, which currently stands at around $7 billion. The Brewers' lease calls for the district to cover repairs, but Evers' office said the end of the sales tax has left the district short of funds, according to the governor's office and the Brewers. Brown County residents approved a half-cent sales tax in 2000 to help pay for renovations at Lambeau Field, home of the Green Bay Packers.
