Last fall, a handful of bar owners sued the city of Orlando and the police chief, arguing the after-midnight alcohol sales ordinance imposes an unconstitutional financial burden. A judge just denied the businesses’ request to pause the ordinance while the lawsuit proceeds in court.

Downtown bars and nightclubs accused of violating their after-midnight alcohol sales permits had the opportunity to present their case, to avoid having their permits suspended or revoked.

The Beach Theater has partnered with Nightlife Security Consultants to host a training session for their employees and surrounding bars and clubs on active shooter events.
