Here are 20 players in alphabetical order below who we think could make big impacts for their new teams this season. Addison and Kenny Pickett were the best passing combination in college football a season ago as Addison racked up 100 catches for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns. If he has a breakout campaign in 2022 he could easily eclipse his career numbers in a single season. He had 11 passes defensed and 83 tackles over the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

The 2-point conversion shootout started in 2019, the season after LSU and Texas A&M played a seven overtime game that left both teams badly beaten up. The rule was tweaked this season, with the 2-point conversion possessions beginning with the third overtime instead of the fifth.

Jaquan Brisker broke up a last pass toward the end zone by Auburn’s Bo Nix as time expired and No. 10 Penn State held on to beat No. 22 Auburn 28-20.

Sean Clifford completed 21 of 29 passes for 230 yards and a touchdown, ran for another score, and No. 11 Penn State beat Ball State 44-13.

Jaquan Brisker and Ji’Ayir Brown intercepted Graham Mertz deep in Penn State territory in the final 2½ minutes to preserve the 19th-ranked Nittany Lions’ 16-10 victory over No. 12 Wisconsin.
