Mayor Muriel Bowser announced that playgrounds, libraries, gyms and nail salons in Washington, D.C., will be able to reopen on a limited basis. As of Friday, the total number of positive infections in Washington stood at 9,952 with 530 deaths.

But nail parlors and public playgrounds will remain closed and gatherings of more than 10 people will be prohibited. Bowser said Wednesday that the public health emergency she declared in March will remain in place.
NHL plans move to small-group training as Phase 2 of return
TORONTO, ONT The NHL hopes to have players back in team facilities soon -- with plenty of precautions. It has not yet been determined when precisely Phase 2 will start or how long it may last, the said read. Teams are not allowed to require a player to return to a club's home city to complete any necessary quarantine measures before the workouts begin. The NHL/NHLPA Return to Play Committee has been hashing out details of what the game will look like if it's allowed to return this summer. Most NHL players have not been on the ice since the league halted its schedule, although some, including a number of Swedish players who returned home, have been skating in recent weeks.

Historic oil price collapse sees first major energy company cut its dividend

Norway's Equinor announced Thursday it will cut its quarterly dividend payment to shareholders by two-thirds, potentially paving the way for other oil majors to follow suit over the coming days. The move makes Western Europe's biggest crude producer the first oil major to cut its dividend this earnings season. Coleman also said he did not believe shareholders would have anticipated the scale of the dividend cut announced on Thursday.
