Jets move Wilson up to No. 2 QB, still expect White to start
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — (AP) — Zach Wilson is moving up on the New York Jets' quarterback depth chart this week. 3 to the backup behind current starter Mike White, who is dealing with a rib injury but is expected to make his fourth straight start Sunday against the Detroit Lions. He started the next seven and the Jets went 5-2 in those games, but his play was mostly shaky. Wilson had four touchdown passes and five interceptions and had a 55.6 completion percentage as New York's offense struggled to produce points. After Wilson went just 9 of 22 for 77 yards in a 10-3 loss at New England in Week 11, the Jets elevated White to starter.

The AFC-leading Bills (10-3) won their fourth straight since a two-game skid, which included a 20-17 loss at the Jets. The Jets (7-6) have lost four of six in a slump that has made their playoff chances shaky. As a precaution, coach Robert Saleh said White was sent to the hospital after the game to be evaluated. More important, he didn’t turn the ball over as he did twice in Buffalo’s loss to the Jets last month.

It added up to another rough day for Aaron Rodgers as the New York Jets stifled Green Bay in a 27-10 win at Lambeau Field. Green Bay struggled from the start on Sunday and found itself on the verge of entering halftime without points. But there wasn't much life for the Packers after halftime as Rodgers struggled to find time or room to run Green Bay's passing game. When Micheal Clemons blocked a Packers punt on the ensuing Green Bay possession, the game was all but over. But that was the end of Green Bay' scoring output as the Jets defense dominated the rest of the way.

Gase said Darnold, who was injured in the Jets' 37-28 loss to Denver on Oct. 1, would not practice Wednesday. Darnold left the game against the Broncos for a few plays but returned and finished the game. “I think he's better than what he was last week,” Gase said of Darnold. “I do think he's a quick healer and there's no doubt any of us would ever say he's anything but tough.
Broncos top winless Jets 37-28 for first victory of season
On third-and-6 and the Jets leading by one, Quinnen Williams sacked Brett Rypien — but grabbed the quarterback’s helmet and prolonged the drive. Brian Poole then intercepted Rypien, making his first NFL start, on the Broncos’ next possession, giving the Jets the ball at Denver’s 44. Darnold gave the Jets their first lead of the season with a dazzling run that would make running back teammates Frank Gore and Le'Veon Bell proud. Darnold was able to come back early in the second quarter on the Jets' next series — and was promptly sacked again. The Jets took advantage — eventually.
49ers blast Jets 31-13, but lose Garoppolo, Bosa, Mostert
Still, short-handed San Francisco had enough to beat the inept New York Jets. Defensive end Nick Bosa and defensive tackle Solomon Thomas were both carted off the field two plays apart with left knee injuries in the first quarter. Two plays later, Thomas was carted off — also with a left knee injury — after an 8-yard reception by Chris Hogan. San Francisco ended the 14-play possession with an 18-yard catch by Jordan Reed for the first of his two TD grabs. ... San Francisco wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, a first-round draft pick, had two catches for 21 yards in his NFL debut.
