Spencer Dinwiddie scored a season-high 36 points in his first start for Dallas since being acquired from Washington on Feb. 10. De’Aaron Fox matched a career high with 44 points, and Domantas Sabonis added 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Kings. Mavericks: Finney-Smith had 17 points, hitting 5 of 11 from 3-point range.

The 76ers got their second superstar, with James Harden coming over in a blockbuster multiplayer trade with the Brooklyn Nets. The Sixers also will get Paul Millsap and the Nets get a 2022 first-round pick and a 2027 first-round pick. The move came just five days after coach Steve Nash said the Nets wouldn't trade Harden and only 13 months after they acquired the 2018 NBA MVP to play with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Harden can become a free agent after the season, though he could pick up his $47.3 million player option.

Rested Kings get 29 points from Hield, defeat Magic 121-107
Hield scored a season-best 29 points by making 10 of 17 shots and 7 of 12 3-pointers as the well-rested Kings beat the Magic 121-107. “I thought it was his most consistent game this year, for sure, and maybe since I’ve been (with the Kings),” Walton said. The Kings proved themselves to be rested and ready in taking apart the Magic for their second road victory of the season. His 29 points points topped the 26 he had on Jan. 13 in Portland — a game where he made eight 3s. Rookie guard Cole Anthony, who scored a career-best 21 points in Monday’s defeat of Charlotte, made just 2 of 9 shots and scored seven points on Wednesday.
Magic build big lead, stay on roll in 132-116 win over Kings

Gordon scored seven of the first nine points for the Magic, who shot 63% in the first half while building a 24-point halftime lead. Orlando shot 52% for the game and matched a season high with 18 3 pointers while shooting 47% from long range. ... The NBA is a few weeks from playoff mode, and James -- just like normal has himself and the Los Angeles Lakers squarely in the mix to compete for championship. Kobe Bryant, who was the third-leading scorer in NBA history until James passed him on Jan. 25, died in a helicopter crash the following day.
