The Celtics play four games this week, and with a battered backcourt, White is worth streaming this week. Those numbers also went up slightly over the past week, averaging 14 points with 7 boards and 1.3 threes in Week 14. I doubt he'll carry much fantasy value, but he's at least on my radar in deeper leagues.

But before we get to this week's waiver pickups, here are the games played by each team in Week 7. The Pelicans play four games this week and have pretty fantasy-friendly opponents in three of the four games (Thunder, Spurs and Nuggets), so Murphy should have a successful week ahead. Seth Curry is finally over an ankle injury that cost him nine games this season, and he's rounding into form just as the Nets are. The Pistons play three games this week, with two of the three games falling on the lighter Tuesday and Thursday slates.

Fantasy Basketball Pickups: De'Anthony Melton leads this weeks waiver wire options

De’Anthony Melton, 76ers (30 percent rostered)The announcement of James Harden being out at least a month with a right foot tendon strain should vault Melton into the starting five. Melton has played well in his two starts, averaging 14.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.5 steals in 32.0 minutes. With Harden off the court, Melton has averaged 1.0 fantasy points per minute, translating to 13.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 2.5 steals per 36 minutes. If he’s going to keep earning 30-plus minutes on a nightly basis, he’s worth adding in most leagues.

Neither Seth Curry nor Joe Harris will be ready for the Brooklyn Nets’ season opener this week. Curry is dealing with a left ankle injury, and Harris a left foot injury. Harris played in just 14 games for the Nets last season while dealing with two ankle surgeries. With both Curry and Harris out, the Nets will plan to use Royce O’Neal to help carry the load. O’Neal averaged 7.4 points and 4.8 rebounds last season with the Utah Jazz, who traded him to Brooklyn this summer.
