A student who was injured in a 2018 shooting at a Central Florida high school is seeking more than $30,000 in a lawsuit filed against the school district.

A man who donned a tactical vest and hid a sawed-off shotgun in a guitar case so he could smuggle it on campus has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for shooting a student at Forest High School in Ocala.

Sky Bouche, the man accused in the 2018 Forest High School shooting, has been accused of fighting a detention official at the Marion County Jail. Bouche, 21, is accused of kicking the detention deputy in his groin when Bouche refused to be transported to another housing area at the jail. According to the report, a detention deputy was moving Bouche when Bouche asked why. The official told Bouche he did not know, and Bouche told the detention deputy: "Im not going and Im fighting anybody." Deputies then tried placing Bouche on a bench, but he continued to fight them and kicked one of the detention deputies in the groin.

A change of plea may be in the works for a Crystal River man accused of firing a shotgun through a door at Forest High School in Ocala and injuring a student nearly two years ago. Gonzalez later told the Star-Banner there may be a plea and sentencing on March 17 or just a change of plea. Authorities said Bouche, a former student at Forest, entered the school on Maricamp Road carrying a shotgun in a guitar case. Five years before the Forest shooting, the Ocala Police Department had investigated Bouche after he contemplated a shooting at Osceola Middle School. The deputy found numerous realistic gun replicas like air soft guns, BB guns and pellet guns.
