Attorney Mark NeJame held a press conference on Wednesday announcing a lawsuit against Charter communications as negligent for sending 24-year-old news reporter Dylan Lyons to the scene where someone had been shot and killed dead earlier that day.

A town hall is seeking input from the Pine Hills community ahead of the legislative session and after a string of deadly shootings last week that killed a 38-year-old woman, a 9-year-old girl and a Spectrum News 13 reporter.

A 9-year-old girl was one of three killed, including a News 13 reporter and 38-year-old woman, in Pine Hills shootings on Wednesday, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say a Central Florida television journalist and a little girl were fatally shot near the scene of a fatal shooting from earlier in the day.

Reactions have come pouring in from across the country following the death of a News 13 journalist who was among three killed, including a 9-year-old girl and a woman in her 20s, in a string of shootings in Orange County Wednesday.
