A nod for a nonagenarian and a surge of first-time acting honorees are among the notable numbers stemming from the Oscar nominations announced Tuesday.

The nominations to the 95th Academy Awards are now out.

Glittering rock ‘n’ roll, women warriors and kings, spellbinding multiverses and stories of friendship and family permeated 2022 cinema and the AP Top 25 Movies list.

Jamie Lee Curtis has gone viral again for another Instagram post about her reaction to co-star Michelle Yeoh’s recent Golden Globe win. On Sunday, Curtis, 64, uploaded a picture of herself wearing a gifted meme-ified shirt created by Erin Gallagher that shows her ecstatic reaction to Yeoh’s win on Tuesday night. “I'm still stunned that a moment of natural exuberance and joy, became some sort of a symbol for women supporting other women," Curtis wrote in the caption of her recent post, which has already garnered almost 327,000 likes.

The Screen Actors Guild has announced nominations to its 29th annual awards, heaping honors on “Everything Everywhere All at Once” and “The Banshees of Inisherin,” while throwing some curve balls into the Oscar race.

This year’s nine Associated Press’ Breakthrough Entertainers of the Year includes actors and musicians who flowered in 2022.

It also stars Stephanie Hsu, Ke Huy Quan, James Hong, Jenny Slate, Harry Shum Jr., and Jamie Lee Curtis. The SXSW Film Festival will run March 11 through 20.
