wftv.comClippers need to start seeing prime Kawhi Leonard soon, or their best-laid plans could crumble
As December wore on, Kawhi started to strong-arm, averaging 20.6 points, seven rebounds, and 4.2 assists in 31.9 minutes per game. After tonight, Clippers are 1-5 against the five teams above them in the West. They have yet to play #2 Grizzlies this season, the only West team to sweep them last season. These are the times that try teams' souls — the spots where you need your superstar to carry you. If we don't start seeing that more, and soon, then the sky may well start tumbling down in L.A. — and an entire franchise's best-laid plans might come with it.

Kawhi Leonard is back for the Los Angeles Clippers. He will be starting on Thursday, though, making his first appearance in the Clippers' starting lineup since his initial injury. Leonard's layoff had put the Clippers in a familiar situation: treading water while waiting to get healthy. All of last season was spent waiting for Leonard and Paul George to get healthy, and the former obviously never happened.
wftv.comWith Lakers on deck, what can we make of the Clippers' tepid start?
The Clippers, more than any team in the NBA right now, exist in the eye of the beholder. The only team producing fewer points per possession than the Clippers is the 2-8 Lakers, whose woeful shotmaking has commanded much heavier scrutiny than that of their co-tenants. These Clippers really can't afford to be giving away possessions, because they don't create many for themselves. And I believe — I'm very optimistic that this team will find our stride and start playing our best basketball." Eleven games into the season where it’s all supposed to come together, we’re not yet sure which one the Clippers are.

From ESPN:"After shootaround, (he) experienced some stiffness in his knee," Lue said before the Clippers played the Thunder.
