A fiery explosion destroyed two houses on Saturday, but no one was injured as a result the explosion nor the blazes that followed. With the house fully engulfed, the fire spread next door to portions of a brick house, officials said. The wooden house was a total loss, officials said, and the brick house was no longer livable due to fire and smoke damage. Willie Jones, who lives next to the wooden house, said the house has been vacant for about a dozen years. He said they quickly got out and that the wooden house quickly went up in flames.
