Chinese 13-year-old Yu Zidi won her third gold medal in the Asian Games on Wednesday, taking the women’s 400-meter individual medley in 4 minutes 28.56 seconds.

China has added four more gold medals in swimming, giving the powerful team 15 in 20 events over the first three days in the pool at the Asian Games.

Yu Zidi, the 13-year-old Chinese swimmer, has won her second gold medal at the Asian Games.

China dominated the first day of swimming at the Asian Games with Yu Zidi and defending Olympic champion Pan Zhanle taking gold.

The gold medals were spread around Friday at the swimming world championships, thanks to the absence of stars Léon Marchand of France and Canadian Summer McIntosh from any finals on Day 6 in Singapore.

Léon Marchand’s life changed drastically after he won four gold medals a year ago in the Paris Olympics.

Yu Zidi of China is only 12 years old and has qualified for the world swimming championships in Singapore.
