John Jared Hill, a longtime CPR instructor from Seminole County, used his training to save his father, John W. Hill, after he suffered cardiac arrest during a visit from Ohio. Hill’s quick action and immediate CPR, followed by care from Seminole County firefighters, were credited with saving his father’s life. The fire department honored Hill with a Citizen Lifesaver Award and used the occasion to promote hands-only CPR training. The family expressed gratitude for the extra time together, especially with Father’s Day approaching.
