Nearly one year after a mass shooting during Halloween festivities in downtown Orlando, the families of the two victims who died are pursuing legal action against the city and the operator of Wall Street Plaza.

Basketball fans from all over Central Florida packed Wall Street Plaza in downtown Orlando, cheering their teams on as the NBA Playoffs kick off this weekend, including the Orlando Magic.

The person who shot seven people in downtown Orlando remains on the run.

Despite a record amount of COVID-19 cases in the state, several block parties and other events were expected to draw in large crowds.
