The fatal crash occurred around 5 p.m. on westbound I-4 near World Drive.

The FHP said Maxine Bartkovich died in the crash after her vehicle was rear-ended by a Ford pickup driven by David Gillett, 44, of Tampa. Charges are pending against Gillett, troopers said.

The crash propelled Bartkovich's Toyota Corolla into another Ford truck, which struck a Honda, according to troopers.

Bartkovich was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where she died, troopers said.

Gillett suffered minor injuries, but the other two drivers were not hurt, the FHP said.

I-4 reopened after a lengthy investigation.

No other details have been released.
