Trooper Steve talks Florida bill aimed at cracking down on left lane travel

ORLANDO, Fla. – With the state legislature in session and discussing certain traffic laws, I thought it would be timely to discuss left lane travel again.

Lawmakers are discussing stiffening the rules when it comes to traveling in the left travel lane. A proposal has been brought that any roadway with two or more travel lines, and speeds posted at 65 mph or more, a driver shall not be in that left lane unless actively passing traffic.

To some this is rocket science, to others plain and simple. Today we will observe why this is important and how it affects traffic.
