Trooper Steve On Patrol discusses new Move Over law in Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. – We have been able to speak a lot about the expansion of the Florida Move Over law. I can explain to you time and time again what the law says and what you should be doing, but I’d rather show you.

Today on Patrol, we focused specifically on the Florida Move Over law and how you should be negotiating your vehicle.

Any vehicle displaying hazard lights, warning lights or that has a visible present pedestrian are covered under the expansion of the Florida Move Over law. A violation of this law is a moving violation and comes with points on your license.
