Florida’s Turnpike reopens in Lake County after crash

Southbound lanes reopen near mile marker 280

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – A crash on Florida’s Turnpike Friday morning shut down all southbound lanes in Lake County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 8 a.m. near mile marker 280.

Traffic was backed up a couple of miles due to the crash, but lanes later reopened around 10:30 a.m.

Troopers said the wreck involved injuries, but no other details have been released.
