ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Today’s Trooper Steve on Patrol isn’t just about traffic tips or community concerns — it’s about service. We’re heading back to Orange County Animal Services, but this time it’s not to highlight a pet in need of a forever home. Instead, today is all about giving back.
At News 6, we believe in being more than just storytellers — we believe in being part of the story. That’s the heart behind the News 6 Ambassadors, a team of volunteers from our newsroom who regularly roll up their sleeves and serve across Central Florida.
Whether it’s supporting local shelters, mentoring students, or helping at community cleanups, these ambassadors embody what it means to lead with compassion. And today, they’re lending a hand — and some heart — to the incredible team at Orange County Animal Services.
From cleaning kennels and walking dogs to simply showing a little extra love, today’s stream is about recognizing the hard work done daily at the shelter and reminding everyone how impactful small acts of kindness can be.
To kick off the day, I’ll be introducing you to some of our wonderful ambassadors as they prepare to get to work. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at a day filled with fur, friendship, and service.
Join us — not just to watch, but to be inspired. Because supporting our community starts with action.
