BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A dump truck with an excavator struck a concrete bridge over Interstate 95 in Brevard County and then fled the scene, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened in the southbound lanes near mile marker 206, or State Road 528.

According to troopers, the driver fled the scene after the dump truck hit the overpass, causing pieces of the bridge to fall onto the interstate.

A pickup truck traveling behind the dump truck was damaged in the crash. Troopers said there were “minor injuries” in the pickup, but no one was taken to the hospital.
