7-year-old killed, 2 other children injured when struck by truck in Florida Children ran across street near Tampa, troopers say

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A 7-year-old girl died and two other children were injured Sunday evening when they were struck by a truck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened before 8 p.m. on North 56th Street near Society Park Boulevard near Tampa in Hillsborough County.
According to troopers, the three children ran across the roadway and entered the path of an oncoming Chevy Silverado.
An 11-year-old girl and 8-year-old boy had non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.
A 7-year-old girl was taken to the hospital, where she later died.
No other information was released.
