The FHP said the woman, who has not yet been identified, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban south on County Road 419 near River Run Point when she lost control of the SUV, ran off the road and struck a utility pole.

The SUV became fully engulfed in flames, according to troopers, who said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The FHP said the Medical Examiner’s Office will work to ID the woman.

Northbound and southbound lanes on County Road 419 will remain closed for an extended period while Florida Power & Light work on “live wires.”
