Jackknifed tractor-trailer causing traffic delays on I-4 in Osceola County, troopers say

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A crash involving a jackknifed tractor-trailer and another vehicle is causing headaches for motorists on Interstate 4 in Osceola County on Sunday evening, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened in the eastbound lanes of the interstate near mile marker 62 at World Drive around 9:22 p.m.

According to a preliminary crash report, the tractor-trailer was traveling east on I-4 in the area of mile marker 62 in the inside lane.

At the same time, a Mercedes-Benz GLC was was traveling west on I-4 in the inside lane.

Troopers said the tractor-trailer jackknifed and collided with the inside shoulder concrete wall barrier which caused the wall barrier to collide the Mercedes.

The driver of the semi was not injured and remained at the scene. The Mercedes’ driver and passenger were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to the report.

Troopers said there is currently a roadblock for the inside and inside center lanes for both eastbound and westbound lanes of I-4. The outside lanes for both directions remain open.

The crash remains under investigation.
