The Lady Lake Police Department responded to a crash Saturday evening on U.S. Highway 27/441, where officers said a Chevrolet Tahoe was speeding and rear-ended a Ford F-150.
Witnesses told police the driver of the Chevrolet Tahoe, later identified as 28-year-old Tyler Davis, ran into the woods.
Lady Lake officers used a drone, which detected a heat signature, to locate Davis, who appeared impaired, the department said.
Davis was treated for injuries and taken to a hospital, according to police.
