Motorcyclist dies in crash with pickup truck in Ocala Crash happened on SR-200 east of I-75

OCALA, Fla. – A crash that killed a 33-year-old motorcyclist on Friday night is under investigation in Ocala.
Police say the crash happened on State Road 200 near SW 35th Terrace, just east of I-75.
According to officers, the motorcyclist was traveling west when a Chevy pickup truck tried to make a U-turn from the eastbound lanes to the westbound lanes and collided with the front of the motorcycle.
The driver of the pickup says the traffic light at the intersection had just turned yellow when they started the turn, police said.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
