Motorcycle passenger killed in Volusia County crash that shut down I-95

OAK HILL, Fla. – A woman was killed in a motorcycle crash that has part of I-95 shut down in southeast Volusia County.

The crash happened in Oak Hill, in the northbound lanes of I-95 around Mile Marker 235, just north of the Brevard County line.

The Florida Highway Patrol is not saying what caused the crash, but it involves one Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The rider himself, a 45-year-old from Sanford, was not injured, but his passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

Traffic is being diverted at Exit 231 onto U.S. Highway 1in the Scottsmoor area.
