The motorhome was occupied by 15 people from Springfield, Ohio, with ages ranging from 5 years old to 59 years old.
Troopers said that just prior to the intersection, the Tahoe ran off the road to the right, while still traveling toward U.S. 27. The Tahoe then traveled on the grass shoulder toward U.S. 27 and collided with the left side of the motorhome. The motorhome then rotated and overturned onto its side.
According to the crash report, a 5-year-old boy – who was a passenger in the motorhome – was pronounced dead at the scene.

The mother remains in critical but stable condition, according to the FHP.
Troopers said 13 of the motorhome’s passengers, who were originally listed as critically injured, were taken to area hospitals but have since said that none of their injuries are life-threatening.
The FHP did not say if either driver will be cited in the crash.
