LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – Portions of two roads in Lake County were temporarily blocked Friday morning east of Eustis due to extremely poor visibility, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

State Road 44 was closed from Huff to Brantley Branch roads while County Road 44A was also blocked in the area, FHP said around 8:30 a.m. on social media.

Photos included with the post show roadways becoming barely visible in a haze.

Both roadways had reopened by the time of this report.

Safety reminder: If you encounter fog, slow down, use low beam headlights, increase following distance, signal turns, use wipers/defrosters, and reduce distractions. Fog can reduce visibility quickly. A little patience and caution can help keep everyone safer on the road.
